Lupino Caballero

was born in Chihuahua, Chihuahua, Mexico, on April 23, 1975. 

Son of Bertha Carolina Piñón, Lupino grew up in Ciudad Juárez next to his mother and grandparents, Rayo Fourzán de Piñón and Manuel Piñón Rubí. 

Lupino took piano lessons as a child, given by her grandmother Rayo Fourzán.

He played drums on the military band of his high school.
He played in a few rock bands in Chihuahua and Ciudad Juarez, of which we highlight "Lucrezia".

Started studying the preparatory course of Guitar at the Conservatory of Music in Chihuahua, later he entered the Bachelor of Composition at the same institution. 

In the Conservatory, he studied with teachers like Boris Diaz on guitar and Marco Aurelio Alvirez, Manuel Gutierrez and Miguel Angel Barrera in composition.

He received encouragement to artistic creation "David Alfaro Siqueiros" in 2004 in the category of "young creators", thanks to which he composed his orchestral work Ecce Homo, and in 2013 in the category of "creators with experience", thanks to which he recorded his first album "Ebrio de Luna".

Lupino Won first price in the IV International Contest "Guitarra sin Fronteras" with his composition "La Metamorfosis" (The Metamorphosis) for solo guitar.

He worked as teacher at the Facultad de Artes at the Universidad Autonoma de Chihuahua from 2006 to 2011.

He works as a teacher at the Conservatory of Music of Chihuahua since 2007.

In September 2008 became director of the Guitar Orchestra of the Conservatory of Music in Chihuahua.

In 2010 Lupino is awarded with the "Premio Chihuahua" in Music, for his symphonic ballet "Marianela" work based on the book "Marianela" by Benito Perez Galdos and commissioned by choreographer Marianela Castro.  The work was premiered by the Philharmonic Orchestra of Chihuahua state, under the direction of Armando Pesqueira, in the Teatro de los Héroes.
